Avery's Riddle Me This? - Terms of Service

A note for parents: Avery's Riddle Me This? is intended for a general audience that includes children. If your child is under 13, please review these Terms and the Privacy Policy, and create or approve their account yourself.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern use of Avery's Riddle Me This? ("App," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the App, you (or, if you are under 18, your parent or guardian on your behalf) agree to these Terms.

1. Accounts

Account creation may require a parent or guardian's involvement for players under 13, in compliance with applicable children's privacy laws. Whoever creates the account is responsible for keeping login details confidential and for activity on that account.

2. Virtual Currency ("Soul Fragments")

Soul Fragments are a virtual in-app currency with no real-world monetary value and cannot be redeemed, exchanged, or converted to cash.
Soul Fragments may be earned through gameplay or purchased with real money.
We recommend parents enable device-level purchase confirmation (password or Face/Touch ID) to prevent unintended purchases by younger players.

3. Purchases and Refunds

All purchases (Soul Fragment packs, Unlock Master Mode, Ad-Free Experience, Unlimited Hints, AI Summon Pass) are processed through the App Store or Google Play and are subject to their refund and billing policies. We do not directly process or store payment card information.

4. AI-Generated Content

The "Summon AI" feature generates riddles using artificial intelligence and is filtered for age-appropriate content. If a generated riddle seems inappropriate or confusing, please report it in-app so we can review it.

5. Fair Play & Conduct

You agree not to use bots, scripts, or exploits to gain an unfair advantage or manipulate streaks, fragments, or leaderboards. Any community or social features must be used respectfully; harassment or inappropriate content directed at other players is prohibited.

6. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate an account for violating these Terms, including fraudulent purchases or abusive conduct.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the App, including loss of virtual currency, streaks, or purchased items.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
